BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | The Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) recognized Grambling State softball standout
Ziya Donaldson as Co-Hitter of the Week following a dominant showing at the plate in the Lady Tigers series against Arkansas-Pine Bluff.
Donaldson set the tone offensively delivering one of the most efficient performances of the season.
The redshirt freshman turned in a near-perfect 8-for-9 (.889) performance across three games, applying constant pressure on the Golden Lions defense.
She drove in seven RBIs and scored four runs during the series as well.
Donaldson also added a double and drew three walks.
Her breakout weekend was instrumental in igniting Grambling State's offense, helping the team rebound from a 4-9 opening loss with wins of 17-12 and 6-3 over Arkansas-Pine Bluff.
Across the three contests, she posted an .889 batting average with eight hits, seven RBIs, and four runs scored.
