BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | The Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) recognized Grambling State track and field standout
Carson Lowe as Newcomer of the Week following a record-breaking performance in the javelin at the 2026 Alumni Bulldog Relays, held March 26–28 in Starkville, Miss.
Lowe delivered one of the top marks in program history finishing seventh overall.
The freshman posted a throw of 61.57 meters (202'0") the top mark among Grambling State competitors in the event.
His performance not only secured a top-10 finish, but also etched his name in the record books as he threw the farthest for the Grambling State Tigers since 2009.
