Demetrius Moore

Demetrius Moore is entering his third season on Men’s Basketball staff at Grambling State University. Moore comes to Grambling having served three years as an assistant coach under Coach Donte Jackson at Stillman College. He spent the first two as a Student Assistant and Director of Basketball Operations and last season in the role of Recruiting Coordinator.

In his first season at Grambling State, Moore helped engineer a rebirth for the Tiger men's basketball program as he helped guide GSU to a 17-14 overall and 13-5 in SWAC play.

Before coming to Stillman, Moore spent 13 seasons as an AAU coach for the Milwaukee Running Rebels, one the of the elite AAU programs in the country. During his time with the Running Rebels, Moore coached current NBA player Kevon Looney, as well as the 2016 Pac-12 Tournament MVP Elgin Cook. The program saw several players go on to play NCAA Division I basketball, and a number of players go overseas to play professionally.

Moore is a 2001 graduate of Milwaukee Washington High School where he lettered in varsity basketball and was a part of two teams that went to the state tournament. He also served as an assistant coach at his alma mater from 2007-2009.

Moore earned a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education from Stillman College in 2016. In May 2019, he obtained his Master of Science in Sport Administration from Grambling State.
