Played football and basketball all four years at Brown Deer High School in Milwaukee, Wis...averaged 10 points and six rebounds per game his sophomore year...averaged 17 points and 10 rebounds and was named second team all-state, first team all-conference and first team all-region his junior year...recorded 25 points and 13 rebounds per game as a senior and was named all-state, team Most Valuable Player and the top post player in Wisconsin.
