Alyssa Saucedo joins the Grambling State University soccer coaching staff after spending the past two years assisting NCAA Division II New Mexico Highlands University.
Prior to helping coach the Cowgirls of NMHU, Saucedo played four years of collegiate soccer at New Mexico Highlands University as a midfielder. She captained the team for two of her four years, helping them to reach the playoffs in three of them, which included wins over NCAA Division II Top 25 nationally ranked teams each year and regular national rankings in offense or defense.
Her best playing memories include wins over nationally ranked teams and making runs in the playoffs. After graduating from Highlands and receiving her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Anthropology/Sociology, she pursued her masters degree while continuing to coach.
Prior to her college career the California native, played on many successful clubs during her high school years including Rush, Alliance FC, and Platinum FC. Her club teams regularly competed in the regional and national tournaments.
