Taylor B. Stewart

Taylor B. Stewart is entering her fifth year as the Associate Athletic Director for External Relations and Chief of Staff at Grambling State University, where she provides strategic oversight for all administrative operations within the Department of Athletics. In this dual role, she manages internal processes and external engagement, ensuring alignment with the Director of Athletics’ vision while also enhancing the department's visibility, revenue generation, and fan engagement.


Stewart oversees a wide range of initiatives, including the GSU Athletics Tiger Internship Program, athletics fundraising (Tiger Club, G-Club, and Cub Club), and game day operations aimed at elevating the fan experience and boosting ticket sales. She also coordinates VIP hospitality and executes key events such as banquets, team functions, and donor engagements. In her capacity as sport supervisor, she provides leadership to Softball and Volleyball, while also serving in a secondary role for Football and Men’s and Women’s Basketball. Stewart directly supervises Communications, Equipment, and the Ticket office as well as a team of over 30 student workers and athletics interns, contributing to the professional development pipeline for future sports leaders.


Prior to her return to Grambling, Stewart served at Southern University and A&M College as the Director of Marketing and Development and Head Cheerleading Coach. There, she launched the successful Stand United Individual Giving Campaign and led all external development programs, including the Lacumba Kids Club, S-Club, and Jags Unlimited. As cheer coach, she guided the program to a 2nd place finish at the 2021 NCA College Nationals in the Small Coed D1 Intermediate division.


A proud Grambling State alumna, Stewart previously served as a GSU TV sideline reporter, Miss CoverGirl, and Grambling State Cheerleader. While in college, she was actively involved in Student Ambassadors, the Student Government Association, and became a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. Her professional foundation includes internships with WDSU, Reach Media, and the Tom Joyner Foundation.


Stewart, a native of Columbia, Maryland, earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Grambling State in 2017 and her Master of Science in Communication, specializing in Public Relations, from Syracuse University in 2020.
