GRAMBLING---Grambling State running back
Frank Warren was named Southwestern Athletic Conference offensive player of the year to lead a host of Tigers name to the 2010 All-Conference team as announced by the SWAC's media relations office.
Warren, Grambling's All-Time career rushing leader, led the SWAC and was 3rd in the NCAA in rushing with 1,592 yards. He also averaged 10.4 points per game, which was 5th in the FCS. He is currently 6th among active career rushers in the NCAA and second all-time in the SWAC finishing with 3,910 yards.
Also named to the All-SWAC first team were offensive linemen
Sanford Banks (6-4, 319, R-So., Columbus, GA) and
Bennie Peoples (6-2, 283, Jr., Vicksburg, MS), linebacker
Cliff Exama (6-0, 226, Jr., N. Miami Beach, Fl.) and punt returner
Kiare Thompson (6-1, 185, Sr., Sacramento, Ca).
Receiving second team honors were defensive lineman
Antonio Leonard (6-1, 225, Jr., Jonesboro, LA) and
Zoltan Riazzo (6-0, 181, Jr., Agvanga, CA)
