The Southwestern Athletic Conference announced its football players of the week for week eight; running back Dawrence Roberts (SO, Clearwater, FL) earned offensive player of the week.

Roberts rushed for 136 yards on 18 carries for a 7.6 yard average, including a SWAC season-long rush of 87 yards in Grambling's Homecoming overtime 30-24 win over Mississippi Valley State on Saturday. This game is the third time in the last four games Roberts has rushed for more than 100 yards.
