Grambling State WR Mario Louis will be on the nationally-syndicated show, "FROM THE PRESS BOX TO PRESS ROW" National Radio Show on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at 1pm EST (12pm CST). 'Super Mario' will be on to discuss the upcoming NFL Draft along with other possible draft picks from other Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
"FROM THE PRESS BOX TO PRESS ROW" National Radio show is a nationally-syndicated show. Historically Black Colleges and University's (HBCU's) are successful in producing outstanding student-athletes and athletic programs and have made great strides for over 90 years. But during most of that time, schools were underrepresented in their coverage by the media. FROM THE PRESS BOX TO PRESS ROW is the only nationally syndicated sports talk show which places major emphasis on Black college sports. The show talks all sports and has broadcasted live from Radio Row at the Super Bowl and live from NBA All-Star Weekend. FROM THE PRESS BOX TO PRESS ROW was credentialed to cover the Super Bowl for the first time durig the Super Bowl in Tampa in 2009. The hour-long show ranges from previewing upcoming athletic events, discussing the hottest and sometimes controversial topics related to Black college athletics and sports in general, to interviewing the most prominent sports figures and celebrities, to the fresh and sometimes controversial opinions from the host. The hour-long show began August 20, 2005 and is a year round show on radio and the Internet.
The host of "FROM THE PRESS BOX TO PRESS ROW" is Donel Ware. Ware is known in some circles as the John Madden of Black college football for his voice work in the Black college video game BCFx, during the 2007 CIAA Tournament Ware received the honor of being named CIAA Broadcaster of the Year, as voted on by the CIAA Sports Information Directors Association. Ware is a native of Silver Spring, MD is one of the new and fresh faces and voices as well as a young innovator in the Black college sports industry. His broadcast career has now spanned 12 years.
