Box Score HUNTSVILLE, AL (September 29th, 2012) - This year, the kicking game has been a challenge for the Grambling State University Tigers. In fact,
Fabian Carter has been a work horse for the tigers this season with the punting and place kicking duties. Tonight was the debut of a new kicker for GSU.
Phares Wabo, a sophomore from Cameroon, joined tigers this week as the new place kicker. "It is so exciting to be here", said Wabo. "I was honored that the coaching staff thought enough of me to give me this opportunity. I want to do all I can to be the best for this team."
Wabo has been hard at work since joining the G-Men and has already made a difference. He is 1-1 on extra point tries tonight against Alabama A&M capping off the first scoring drive for Grambling, in which
Anthony McGhee caught a 17 yard touchdown pass from
D.J. Williams.
