FORT WORTH, TX (September 8th, 2012) The Grambling State University Tiger Football team suffered a tough 56-0 loss at the hands of Texas Christian University (TCU) on Saturday night.
TCU got on the board first as Deante' Gray returned a
Fabian Carter punt 70 yards for a touchdown with 13:01 remaining in the first quarter.
The TCU defense also scored later in the quarter as Elisha Olabode intercepted a
D.J. Williams pass and returned it 28 yards for a touchdown giving TCU a 14-0 lead.
The Horned Frogs would score on their next two offensive drives in the first quarter, including a two-play 65 yard drive capped off by a 21 yard touchdown run by Brandon Carter making the score 28-0 TCU at the end of the first quarter.
TCU's Josh Boyce had four catches for 102 yards and two touchdowns, while the quarterback tandem of Casey Pachall and Trevone Boykin, finished the game 17 for 17 passing for 276 yards and four touchdowns.
The G-Men were led on defense by defensive back
Tyler Smith, who had 11 tackles in the game, eight which were solo, while defensive lineman Eric Harper had fumble recovery.
On special teams,
Fabian Carter punted the ball 11 times and averaged nearly 43 yards a kick with a long of 48 yards.
