GRAMBLING, Louisiana (March 26th, 2013) – After a great weekend on the diamond, the Grambling State University baseball team will take their five game winning streak on the road to take on Louisiana Tech tonight at 6 p.m. at J.C. Love Field at Pat Patterson Park in Ruston.
The Tigers lost both games to Louisiana Tech last season. In game one at Grambling the Tigers lost a tough game by the score of 10-9. In game two in Ruston the Tigers lost to Tech by the count of 4-1. The last time that GSU beat Tech was in 2005 in Ruston by the score of 10-9.
The Tigers swept the University of New Orleans over the weekend and scored a season high 17 runs in the final game of the three game series. Over the last five games the Tigers are only giving up four runs a game, while scoring eight runs per game.
