GRAMBLING, La (April 17, 2013) – The Grambling State University Tiger Baseballteam (14-21)
will make two trips to Baton Rouge this week starting with a trip to face the second ranked LSU (34-3) Tigers tonight at 6 p.m. at Alex Box Stadium.
Grambling is led at the plate by senior outfielder
Darren Farmer, who is hitting .360 with three doubles, three triples, one homer and 26 RBI.
As a team the Tigers are batting .268 with 11 home runs. They have also recorded 51 stolen bases in 67 attempts.
LSU leads the series with Grambling, 2-0, and Wednesday's game marks the third meeting between the schools in the last four seasons. LSU defeated GSU 8-4 on April 8, 2009, and 17-10 on February 28, 2012 – both games were played in Alex Box Stadium.
