Box Score Tucson, Ariz.-- The Lady Tigers lose to University of Arizona (3-3) in a close matchup last night on the road with a final score of 65-51.

In the first half, the Lady Tigers started off on a slow start by only scoring 18 points while Arizona scored 37. However, in the second half, the team was able to score 33 points against Arizona.

Grambling State University's leading scorers of the game were No. 5
Shakierya McClendon and No. 12
Dierra Ely. McClendon had 10 points and three steals while Ely led the team with 12 points and four steals.

Arizona's leaders were No. 24 LaBrittney Jones, No. 31 Dejza James and No. 33 JaLea Bennett. Jones had 12 points, two blocks and one steal. James led the team by scoring the most points. She finished the game with 14 points and two steals. Bennett had nine points, two assists and one steal.

The Lady Tigers will now regroup for their next game at home against Northwestern State University at 6 p.m. this Saturday.
