Box Score Dallas, Texas--The historic Cotton Bowl State Fair Classic with Grambling State University (GSU) Tigers and Prairie View A&M (PVAM) Panthers was played Saturday, September 27, 2014 at 4:00 P.M.  The matchup between the Panthers and the Tigers has been going on since 1992. The PVAM Panthers are on a 3 game winning streak against the GSU Tigers. The Panthers last faced the Grambling Tigers October 5, 2013 were the Tigers suffered a loss to the Panthers. 

In the first quarter of the game the score was tied up at seven. Jonathan Williams threw a completion to Chad Williams for the touchdown and Marc Orozco with the kick. PV answered right back scoring a touchdown of their own.

At the start of the 2^nd quarter the Panthers scored a touchdown advancing the score 14 to 7. The G-Men owns Verlon Hunter answered with a 32 yard touchdown pass from QB Jonathan Williams tying  the game 14 to 14. PVAM again not letting up on the G-Men defense with a 35 yard field goal. The G-Men come right back with a field goal tying the game up 17 to 17. As we come to the end of the first half PVAM kicks another field goal leaving the score 20 to 17.

Grambling Tigers kicker Marc Orozco kicks a field goal to tie the game up in the third quarter 20 to 20. Grambling takes the lead 26 to 20. At the end of the 3rd quarter the Tigers are leading by 6.

Grambling State University Tigers finish with a score of 26 to 20 giving the tigers their second win of the season. The defense put on big for the G-Men in the fourth quarter. This win ended the three game losing streak for the GSU Tigers in the Cotton Bowl State Classic.  The GSU Tigers are now 2-0 in the Southwestern Athletic Conference. The next game for Grambling will take place on October 4,2014 against Alabama A&M University.
