Box Score Grambling, La-- The Lady Tigers (4-10 1-3) landed their first SWAC Conference win at home against Southern University Lady Jaguars in a nail bitter with a final score of 57-56 on Saturday night.
 
Monisha Neal and Bre'Nae Andrews combined for 40 points in the tightly contested match up. Neal finished with 28 points and Andrews added 12 for Grambling.

The Lady Tigers trailed 23-20 at the half and started surging back within 4 points at the seven minute mark with a basket by Neal. With 3:05 left in the game the Lady Tigers managed to hit a key 3 pointer by Shanice Poole and from that point on traded baskets with the Lady Jaguars.
 
The Lady Tigers now trailing Southern 55-56 with seconds left on the clock manages to put up a 3 pointer for the win but it is off the side of the iron and Andrews comes crashing in for the rebound and puts the shot up to take the win.
 
The Lady Tigers will host Alcorn State University Monday, Jan. 12 in the Fredrick C. Hobdy Assembly Center at 5:30 p.m.
