Box Score HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The Grambling State University Lady Tigers suffered a 56-59 conference loss tonight to the Alabama A&M University Lady Bulldogs.
This loss makes the GSU Lady Tiger's record 0-2 in the Southwestern Athletic Conference.
The Lady Bulldogs trailed 55-50 with 4:45 left in the game when Sippial hit two free throws, a jump shot and another pair of free throws to put A&M up 56-55 with 3:24 to play.
Grambling (0-2) tied the game at 2:36 on Shanice Poole free throw but Janie Myles, who led the Lady Bulldogs with 18 points, hit a layup with 26 seconds left and finished the scoring with a free throw at the 0:07 mark to wrap up the win.
Shakierya McClendon led Grambling (3-10 overall) with 18 points.
The Lady Tigers will return to action on Saturday as they host Southern University in their first conference home opener at 3:00 p.m. and will host Alcorn State University on Monday, Jan. 12
th at 5:30 p.m.
