Box Score BEAUMONT, Texas. – The Grambling State University Tigers baseball team took the field as the visiting team at Vincent-Beck Stadium as they took on the Cardinals of Lamar University dropping a 4-11 decision on Tuesday.
Grambling and Lamar entered the game ready to play, but the outcome was in favor of the Cardinals. The Tigers started the game scoring two runs in the first inning, securing a 2-0 lead.
Edwin Drexler capitalized on an error by the pitcher by adding a point for GSU.

Angel Peguero recording a runner batted in. Lamar answered in the bottom of the first inning, adding nine points to secure a 9-2 lead.
The Tigers added two more points in the top of the third and sixth innings, making it a 4-10 game. The Tigers shouldn't hold off Lamar, who answered by adding two more points in the bottom of the fourth and seventh innings, securing the victory.
Next, the GSU Tigers will host Texas Southern for a Southwestern Athletic Conference match-up on Saturday and Sunday at Wilbert Ellis Field at R.W.E. Jones Park. The first pitch is scheduled for 12:00 pm on Saturday and 1:00 pm on Sunday.
