Fort Worth,TX - The Lady Tigers lost another tough road game, 83-47, to the Frogs of Texas Christian University Tuesday, November 22, in Fort Worth, Texas at Schollmaier Arena.
It was a challenging night for the Lady Tigers as they struggled to find any momentum offensively. The Lady Tigers shot 29% from the field versus the Frogs 54.5%.
TCU created a 12-point lead in the first quarter, shooting 5-9 from three-point range. The Lady Tigers could not reduce the deficit and continued to play from behind. The Frogs continued to dominate in the second, holding Grambling State to just 8-points in the period. TCU led by 23 at the half. The score was 41-18.
The Lady Tigers scored one point more than TCU with 19-points in the third, but it still left them at a 12-point deficit going into the fourth. Â The fourth quarter belonged to the Frogs as they took away any possibility for the Lady Tigers to get back in the game. Grambling could not get close to TCU and was outscored 24-10 in the period. The Frogs won 83-47.
"When playing NCAA tournament caliber teams, as which TCU is, you can't make a lot of mistakes and expect to win, yet along stay close in games. These games we're losing aren't much about what teams are doing against us, it's what we aren't doing. The areas we're struggling in will get corrected in due time, but until then we will continue to compete," said head coach

The Lady Tigers bench only contributed 8 points compared to TCU's 44 points. TCU also scored 19-points off Grambling turnovers.
Shakyla Hill led the Lady Tigers with 13 points, 6 assists, and 3 steals.
Jazmine Torian followed with 12 points and 5 rebounds.
Monisha Neal and
Chantiara Lewis each finished with 7 points. Neal led in rebounds with 6.
The Lady Tigers continue their tough pre-season road play in Coral Gables, Florida Friday, November 25, at 4 p.m. against the University of Miami.
