Grambling, LA– The Grambling State University Lady Tigers (1-6) lost at home to the Lady Colonels (3-4) of Nichols State University, 71-60, at the Frederick C. Hobdy Assembly Center.

The Lady Tigers went into the locker room down by 4. The score was 33-29.

GSU turnovers allowed NSU to take a five-point lead with under three minutes to go. Nichols' guard Hope Pawlowski hit a big three-pointer to get the lead back to 8 over Grambling with less than 1:30 to go. Boyd comes back with another three-pointer and is fouled on the play. "They looked like they wanted it more than us. We came off of a long road trip. We played three games in six days. We just looked like we were tired tonight. We had no energy. We just have to use this break coming up to regroup and get our legs back again, and hopefully be ready to finish before the Christmas break," said head coach Freddie Murray.

Boyd finished with a game high of 21 points. Shakyla Hill followed with 17 points, 9 assists, and 6 rebounds. Jazmine Torian contributed 11 points and 9 rebounds. Nichols State had four players to score double figures.
