G-Men in earlier play against TSU
The Grambling State University Tigers (6-19; 3-10 SWAC) compete at home against the Jackson State University Jaguars (14-12; 9-4 SWAC) Saturday (February 20) at 5 p.m. in the Fredrick C. Hobdy Assembly Center.

The Tigers want to end an eight-game losing streak. Leading scorer Nigel Riberio consistently contributes 11.5 points per game. Ervin Mitchell and Deonte Harris each average 10 points per game. The Tigers had 21 turnovers in their previous match up against JSU, giving the Jaguars 21 points. The Tigers also gave up three point shots to JSU's Javeres Brent, who shot 50% from the 3-point line. He made seven of the team's eight 3-pointers. The Tigers have to minimize their turnovers and intensify defense to claim a victory.

Jackson State has three players averaging double digits. Paris Collins, Raeford Worsham and Chace Franklin all contribute 13 points per game.  JSU ranks fourth in conference and leads in 3-point field goals made, rebounding, blocked shots and steals.
