Grambling State (19-18; 12-4 SWAC) scrapped pass TSU Friday night at McGregor Park. With a championship performance, GSU remains unbeaten (8-0) in Friday night matchups against Southwestern Athletic Conference foes and Friday night home appearances.

Issac O'Bear (7-2) was relentless from the circle, denying eight batters with eight strikeouts through eight innings. O'Bear sits atop of the SWAC, leading all pitchers with seven wins. In addition, he has 50 strikeouts on the season.
Creighton Hoover had one job in the ninth inning for Grambling State -- close it. Hoover sent Blake Hicks back to the dugout to watch. Hall snagged a Christian Sanchez fly out and a ground out to second baseman

Bell led GSU hitters batting 3-for-4 and scored once. Bell joined his teammates in the dugout in the first inning, but not before left fielder Nick Wheeler batted him home.

TSU's (15-19, 9-10 SWAC) Kamren Dukes tied the game at 2-2 in the fifth with a two-run single, scoring Cabreja and Joel Rosario.
