GRAMBLING, La. – Three Grambling State (3-6) players posted double-digit kills as the Lady Tigers downed Dillard in four sets Tuesday night.
Grambling State used a 10-4 run to overcome a 14-13 deficit and narrowly take the first set. Dillard posted an 8-7 lead in set two, but Grambling State notched an 8-3 run to take control. Dillard would get within one, but GRAM closed the set on a 9-2 run.
Grambling lost a 15-10 lead in set three, and despite tying it at 20, faded late. The Tigers rebounded in set four with a 12-5 start that led to victory.
Kevreion Ward posted 12 kills to lead Grambling while
Maya Lucas and Chastity Nicks added 11 and 10, respectively, in the category.
Grambling will be in action again on Friday, September 30th at 3:00 p.m. as they host Alcorn State University and on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. as they host Southern University.
