Box Score GRAMBLING, La. – The Grambling State women's volleyball team posted a 3-0 Southwestern Athletic Conference win over Prairie View A&M on Sunday evening at the Fredrick C. Hobdy Assembly Center.
The Lady Tigers took the match 25-17, 25-22, 25-19 to improve to 7-14 overall and 3-3 in conference play. PVAMU fell to 3-7 overall and 3-3 in the SWAC.
Kevreion Ward paced GSU with nine kills and added six digs, three block assists and one service ace.
Erineka Mollere had a team-high 13 digs, while
L'Muriell Thrower dished out 14 assists.
Diemend Richardson also tallied double-digit assists with 12.
Desiree Bishop led all players with five block assists.
Britny Mitchell led PVAMU with nine kills. Christen Augustine led the Lady Panthers with 12 digs, while Mykaeli Franklin and Sommer Gonzales tallied 16 and 12 assists, respectively.
Inside the Numbers
Grambling finished with 30 kills, 41 digs, 29 assists and 16 total blocks.
Prairie View had 34 kills, 47 digs, 32 assists and 16 total blocks.
