MONTGOMERY, Ala. | The Grambling State women's volleyball team fell 3-1 to North Carolina A&T and 3-2 to Savannah State on Saturday in the 2017 ISTAP Tournament hosted by Alabama State.
GSU (0-2) won the first set against N.C. A&T 25-18, but then lost the next three sets 25-12, 25-17, 25-19. In the match against Savannah State, GSU dropped the first set 25-14. GSU came back strong, winning the next two sets 25-18 and 25-15, but Savannah State swept the last two sets 25-16 and 15-8.

Kitagbe Cisse led GSU with nine kills against N.C. A&T.

Chasity Nicks and
Jaivienna Jones tallied 11 and 10 kills, respectively in the Savannah State match.

Diemend Richardson totaled 37 assists, including a season-high 20 against Savannah State.

Erineka Mollere had 13 digs against the Aggies and 18 against Savannah State.
