GRAMBLING, La. | The Grambling State University volleyball team has played eight matches this season, but its ninth match will be the home opener for the Lady Tigers as Jarvis Christian College comes to town.

Grambling State (1-7) has dropped five straight matches and will look for its second win of the season at 6 p.m. at the Frederick C. Hobdy Assembly Center.

Chasity Nicks and
Kevreion Ward pace the Lady Tigers offense. Nicks has registered 47 kills on 153 attacks with 27 digs. Ward has posted 46 kills in 145 attempts with 20 digs and nine blocks.
L'Muriell Thrower has recorded 87 assists and 51 digs.

Following Tuesday night's match, the Lady Tigers will make the trip to Magnolia, Ark. to complete in the Dr. Margaret Downing Invitational hosted by Southern Arkansas University.
