GRAMBLING, La. | Chasity Nicks and
Talicia Lang combined for 17 of Grambling State's 33 kills as the Lady Tigers snapped a five-game losing streak with a 3-0 victory over Jarvis Christian on Tuesday night at the Fredrick C. Hobdy Assembly Center.
Grambling State (2-7) captured the match with a 25-9, 25-14 and 25-18 victory.

Nicks finished the night with nine kills on 22 attempts (.222 hitting percentage), four digs and two block assists. Lang added eight kills on 14 attempts (.357), six digs, four service aces and two block assists.

Diemend Richardson chipped in with 16 assists, while
Erineka Mollere registered 14 digs.

Heidi George led Jarvis Christian (1-14) with four kills, while Metzil Heck recorded seven assists. Defensively, Ja'miya Smith finished with 12 digs.

Turning Point
Grambling State controlled the play in the first two sets and cruised to the 25-9 and 25-14 victory. However, the third set is where the Lady Tigers fell behind.

The Lady Bulldogs raced out to a 7-2 lead, but the Lady Tigers battled back and used a 14-8 run, capped by a
Kitagbe Cisse kill to grab a 16-15 advantage. Grambling State didn't look back in outscoring Jarvis Christian, 9-3, to win the set, 25-18, at the match. Â

Inside the Numbers
· Grambling State finished with 33 kills (.175), 42 digs, 31 assists, seven service aces and nine total team blocks.
· Jarvis Christian registered 12 kills, 35 digs, 11 assists, three total team blocks and two service aces.
· The Lady Tigers recorded a .308 hitting percentage in the second set with 11 kills on 26 attacks and just three errors.
· There were 10 ties and just two lead changes in the three-set match.

The Lady Tigers will make the trip to Magnolia, Ark. to complete in the Dr. Margaret Downing Invitational hosted by Southern Arkansas University. Grambling State will face host Southern Arkansas, Mississippi College, Texas A&M-International and Arkansas-Monticello in the tournament.
