GRAMBLING, La. | After back-to-back home games, the Grambling State University football team takes to the road this weekend as the Tigers visit Itta Bena, Miss., to open Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) play against Mississippi Valley State. Â

Â
Grambling State (2-1) enters the contest after victories over Northwestern State and Jackson State, while Mississippi Valley State (0-2) will be play at home for the first time this season. The Delta Devils opened the season with losses to North Dakota State and Southern Illinois.
Â
"Once again we got another tough opponent this week," Grambling State head coach
Broderick Fobbs said. "It's going to be very difficult in that particular stadium because it's not going to be as many people as you're used to seeing and that can sometimes lull a team to sleep. We will have to create our own energy for ourselves to be ready to play."
