GRAMBLING, La. | The Grambling State University women's basketball team look to secure two more conference wins at home against Prairie View A&M University on Saturday and on Monday, Jan. 15 against Texas Southern University. Tipoff for Saturday's game is scheduled for 3 p.m. in the Fredrick C. Hobdy Assembly Center and at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The contest versus Texas Southern will be broadcasted live on the SWAC Digital Network.

Grambling State (6-9 overall, 3-1 SWAC) suffered their first SWAC loss to Southern, 63-44, on Jan. 6. The Lady Tigers bounced back from the loss, defeating Alcorn State, 75-68, on Monday.

Prairie View A&M (4-10, 2-1) will travel to Jackson State on Monday, while Texas Southern (6-8, 1-2) will play host to Jackson State on Saturday.

ABOUT PRAIRIE VIEW A&M
• The Lady Panthers will have a week off to rest before visiting Grambling State. Prairie View A&M came from behind in its last contest, defeating Texas Southern, 61-56, on Jan. 6.

• Prairie View A&M is averaging 68.9 points per game, while its opponents are averaging 74.4 points. The Lady Tigers are shooting 37.3 percent (342-of-918) from the floor and 67.8 percent (229-of-338) from the charity stripe.

• Grambling State played just three games at home prior to opening conference play on Jan. 1, registering a 2-1 mark, with its only loss coming to No. 17 Florida State. The Lady Tigers will play nine SWAC games at the Fredrick C. Hobdy Assembly Center.

GRAMBLING STATE BASKETBALL HISTORY
• Grambling State became the only SWAC school to advance in a postseason tournament as the Lady Tigers defeated Ole Miss, 78-75, in the first round of the WNIT last season.

• The Lady Tigers reached the SWAC Championship game last season, but fell to Texas Southern, 70-66.
