HUNTSVILLE, Ala. | Chasity Nicks and
Kevreion Ward combined for 24 kills as the Grambling State University volleyball team concluded the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Round-Up with a 3-1 victory over Mississippi Valley State on Sunday.

Grambling State (8-21 overall, 5-9 SWAC) won the match, 25-15, 21-25, 25-14, 25-16.

Nicks paced the offense with 14 kills and hit .243, while Ward added 10 kills and boasted a .276 hitting percentage.
L'Muriell Thrower handed out a team-high 28 assists. Defensively,
Talicia Lang led the way with 21 digs, while
Erineka Mollere chipped in with 16 and Thrower tallied 10 to complete the double-double.

Tyler Caliste led Mississippi Valley State with 10 kills, while Brooklyn Hudson finished with a match-high 30 assists. Jessica Bell paced the defense with 14 digs.
