GRAMBLING, La. | The Grambling State University volleyball team has spent the past 21 matches on the road as the Lady Tigers will finally home its 2018 home opener on Sunday as Southern will visit the Fredrick C. Hobdy Assembly Center. The Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) match is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m.

The Lady Tigers (5-16 overall, 3-4 SWAC) have three out of their last four matches and are coming off a 3-1 victory over Prairie View A&M last Monday.

Southern (3-13, 2-5) will enter Sunday's match having dropped five out of its last six matches The Lady Jaguars lost to Alcorn State, 3-2, on Sept. 23 and to Texas Southern (Oct. 1), 3-2, but bounced back and will enter Sunday's tilt off a 3-0 victory on Thursday night against Arkansas-Pine Bluff.

The home match on Sunday will be the first of three consecutive contests at the Fredrick C. Hobdy Assembly Center. The Lady Tigers will face off against Arkansas-Pine Bluff (6 p.m.) in a SWAC match on Thursday and conclude the three-match homestand on Wednesday, Oct. 17 against Tougaloo College.
