BATON ROUGE, La. | The Grambling State University volleyball team took to the road on Sunday night as the Lady Tigers dropped a three-set affair, 3-0, to rival Southern in a Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) match at Seymour Gym.
 
Southern (12-16 overall, 10-8 SWAC) took the match 25-13, 25-13, 25-21.
 
Chasity Nicks paced the Lady Tiger offense with 11 kills, while L'Muriell Thrower dished out 19 assists. Defensively, Erineka Mollere tallied 18 digs.
 
Arabella Hall led Southern with 10 kills and hit .333 in the three sets. Vaterra Calais registered 24 assists and nine digs, while Bailey Jefferson and Jada Carter recorded 12 and 10 digs, respectively.

> Grambling State (10-23, 6-11) finished with 29 kills, 26 errors, 122 total attacks (.025)
> Southern tallied a .225 hitting percentage (36 kills, 13 errors, 102 total attacks)
> GSU recorded 44 digs, 29 assists, 6.0 total team blocks and one service ace
> The Lady Jaguars finished with 52 digs, 35 assists, 13.0 total team blocks and six service aces
