LONGVIEW, Texas | A day after picking up its first victory of the season, the Grambling State University softball team suffered a setback as the Lady Tigers fell, 10-1, to Centenary at the LeTourneau University Softball Field on Tuesday afternoon.
Â
Grambling State (1-6) jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning as
Kenyshae Beasley opened the game with a bunt single and advanced to third on an error.
Hailey Haynes followed with a sacrifice bunt to the pitcher, which allowed Beasley to score, giving the Lady Tigers the early lead.
Â
However, Centenary (5-1) plated three runs in the second and used a seven-run fourth to defeat Grambling State.
