SPRINGFIELD, Mo. | The Grambling State University volleyball team dropped a pair of matches on Saturday to conclude play at the Dr. Mary Jo Wynn Invitational at the Hammons Student Center. The Lady Tigers lost 3-0 to Missouri State and Oral Roberts.

Against Missouri State, Grambling State (0-6) dropped the three-set affair, 25-10, 25-14, 25-21.

Kevreion Ward led the offense with seven kills, while L'Murriel Thrower, who was named to the all-tournament team, added 12 assists. Defensively, Kambria Dame finished with seven digs, while Thrower and Erineke Mollere each had six.

Makina Wratten recorded 11 kills, while Laynie Dake added 10 to lead the Missouri State offense. Daniele Messa and Chloe Rear finished with 21 and 17 assists, respectively and Messa paced the defense with a team-high nine digs.

Against Oral Roberts, the Lady Tigers lost by scores of 25-15, 25-11, 25-17.

Ward paced the offense with eight kills, while Thrower tallied 12 assists. Defensively, Dame recorded 10 digs and Mollere added nine.

Morgan Blomquist led the way for Oral Roberts with 12 kills. Bria Bergman finished with 36 assists, while Tori Roe recorded 10 digs.
