WASHINGTON, D.C. | Makela Davidson scored from about 25-yards out to provide the lone goal as the Grambling State University women's soccer team dropped its first Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) game, 1-0, to Howard University on Friday night.
After a scoreless first half, Davidson's goal in the 60th minute gave the Bison (3-6-1 overall, 1-1-1 SWAC) a 1-0 advantage.
Grambling State (5-7, 2-1) out-shot Howard, 15-11, in the match, but could not get a shot past Bison goalkeeper Alayah Howard.
