NACOGDOCHES, Texas | The Grambling State University volleyball team concluded play at The Fredonia Hotel/Holiday Inn Express SFA Invitational with losses to Tennessee State (3-0) and Stephen F. Austin (3-0) at Shelton Gym.
 
The Lady Tigers (0-10) dropped the opening match to Tennessee State, 25-22, 25-18, 25-11.
 
Kevreion Ward led the way offensively with eight kills, while L'Muriell Thrower tallied 16 assists and six digs. Defensively, Teryn Phillips added 11 digs.
 
Rachel Henderson and Khalia Jordan paced Tennessee State with 13 and 10 kills, respectively. Laken Te'o had a match-high 27 assists, while Kristian Marshall tallied 14. Gina Rivera Ortiz finished with 14 digs.
 
In the nightcap, Stephen F. Austin won the match with scores of 25-17, 25-7, 25-15.
 
Talicia Lang paced the Lady Tigers with 10 kills and hit .300 (20 attacks and four errors). Thrower dished out 14 assists, while Sheila Borders added 12. Defensively, Phillips led the way with nine digs.
 
Corin Evans led Stephen F. Austin (9-2) with 10 kills. Ann Hollas tallied 22 assists, while Margaret Dean chipped in with 17. Sabrina Monaco registered a team-high six digs.
