GRAMBLING, La. | The Grambling State University women's basketball team will takes to the road for a pair of Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) games as GSU will face Texas Southern on Saturday and conclude the short two-game road swing on Monday against Prairie View A&M.

Tip-off for Saturday's game at the H&PE Arena is set for 5:30 p.m. and on Monday at 4 p.m. from the Nicks Recreation Center.

Grambling State (6-10 overall, 3-1 SWAC), which has won three out of its last four games, is coming off a 61-56 win on Monday against Alcorn State. GSU trailed by as many as 10 points late in the third quarter, but rallied during the final quarter to pick up the conference win.

Texas Southern (5-9, 1-2), which has dropped three out its last four games, enters Saturday's game off a 52-44 victory over Prairie View A&M on Jan. 12. TSU, which has seven days to prepare for Grambling State, had three players finish in double figures as Niya Mitchell led the way with a double-double of 17 rebounds and 16 points.

Prairie View A&M (5-8, 2-1) will play host to Jackson State on Saturday before Monday's tilt with Grambling State. The Lady Panthers have won two out their last three games, but suffered a set back on Jan. 12 against Texas Southern, 52-44. Prairie View A&M will have a full week to prepare for Jackson State and Grambling State as the Lady Panthers did not play a game on Monday.
