BATON ROUGE, La. | The Grambling State University women's tennis team opened the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) with a 4-0 victory over Arkansas-Pine Bluff to begin play at the SWAC West Round-up on Friday.

Grambling State (1-4 overall, 1-0 SWAC) got victories at No. 5, No. 6, No. 3 and No. 4 to cruise to the SWAC victory.

At No. 5 singles,
Danna Galeano blanked Malaik Muhammad, 6-0, 6-0, to give Grambling State a 1-0 lead.
Tanyaradzwa Magunje beat Ta'miya Strickland, 6-0, 6-0, at No. 6 and
Idah Longwe defeated Karissa Fenwick, 6-0, 6-0 to put the Lady Tigers on the verge of winning the match.
Imperia Martinez sealed the victory with a 6-0, 6-0 win over Cierra Fenwick.
