GRAMBLING, La. | The Grambling State University women's basketball team returns to action with a pair of Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) games as the Lady Tigers visit Southern on Saturday, followed by a trip to Alcorn State on Monday.

Tip-off against the Jaguars is set for 3 p.m., while the Monday contest against the Lady Braves is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.

Grambling State (9-12 overall, 6-3 SWAC) went 1-1 over the weekend as the Lady Tigers defeated Arkansas-Pine Bluff, 77-57 on Feb. 2, but followed that with a 54-52 loss at home to Mississippi Valley State.

Southern (10-10, 7-2) has won seven out of its last eight games and is coming off a 75-54 victory on Feb. 2 against Alcorn State. The Jaguars currently sit atop the SWAC standings and will be seeking a season sweep of Grambling State.

Alcorn State (3-18, 2-7) will host Jackson State prior to Grambling State coming to town on Monday. The Lady Braves have lost their last four games, with their last win coming on Jan. 19, a 73-63 victory over Mississippi Valley State.
