TYLER, Texas | The Grambling State University softball team swept a doubleheader from Texas College on Tuesday afternoon, 15-2 and 13-1.
The Lady Tigers (12-9) completed the four-game season sweep of the Lady Steers.
How It Happened – Game 1
Texas College opened the scoring with a pair of runs in the bottom of the first inning, but that would be all the scoring the Lady Steers would do.
Grambling State plated one run in the second and took the lead for good with four runs in the third. The Lady Tigers exploded for 10 runs over the next two innings to cruise to the 15-2 victory in five innings.

> Grambling State finished with 15 runs on 10 hits, committed a pair of errors and left nine on base

Tia Coleman went 2-for-2, with two runs scored and one RBI, while
Antiya Randle was 2-for-2, with four runs scored

How It Happened – Game 2
Grambling State erupted for 10 runs on just three hits, took advantage of one error to take a 10-0 lead in the top of the first inning. The Lady Tigers also capitalized on four walks in the frame.
GSU plated two more runs in the third and Texas College got one back in the fourth, but it wasn't enough as the Lady Tigers completed the rout, 13-1, in five innings.

Grambling State returns to action in Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) play this weekend against Alcorn State. The Lady Tigers and Lady Braves will meet at 3 p.m. on Friday at the GSU Softball Complex and conclude the three-game SWAC series with a doubleheader starting at 12 p.m. on Saturday.
