Box Score NATCHITOCHEZ, La. | The Grambling State Tigers volleyball team fell in straight sets (25-20, 25-9, 25-7) to Northwestern State University at Prather Coliseum in non-conference action. The loss marks the second straight for GSU.
Grambling was led by senior
Linzy Woods who tied a team-high with two kills while teammate
Tamaira Johnson also added two kills for the Tigers, who as a team produced eight kills in the opening set but were doomed by eight hitting errors. Woods also added a team-high two blocks in the loss.
In the second set, the Tigers (0-2 overall, 0-1 SWAC) struggled on offense and managed just two kills.Â
Sophomore middle blocker
Semira Fields also tied a team-high with two kills and produced four digs while fellow Tiger
Jada Taylor generated a team-high 16 digs.
Breanna Burrell finished with a game-high 12 kills for the Demons, who improve to 1-0 on the year.
