GRAMBLING, La.| The Grambling State University women's soccer team celebrated Senior Day, wrapping up the regular season with a convincing 4-0 victory over Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) opponent, the University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Friday afternoon at the GSU Soccer Complex.
HOW IT HAPPENDED
- Senior forward
Kailey Pena put the Lady Tigers (6-8-2 overall, 6-2-1 SWAC) up 1-0 on UAPB (6-13, 2-6) in the 29
th minute with a well-placed goal off of an assist from
Lizbeth Aguero.
- Pena struck again in the 34
th minute with another goal. It was her team-leading eighth goal of the season.
Kaydeen Jack was credited with the assist.
- In the 49
th minute,
Miranda Urbizu struck the back of the net off of an assist from Pena, extending GSU's lead to 3-0.
- Aguero capped off the rout with a goal of her own in the 63
rd minute, giving the Lady Tigers a 4-0 lead.

Rachel Pugh logged 18 minutes in goal, making one save

UP NEXT
Grambling State now travels to Prairie View, Texas to compete in the 2021 SWAC Women's Soccer Tournament. The tournament is scheduled to run from Nov. 4-7 at Prairie View A&M University.
