Box Score GRAMBLING, La. | Grambling took care of business with a 3-0 victory (25-11, 25-19, 25-17) over Jarvis Christian in non-conference action at the Fredrick C. Hobdy Assembly Center. The win marks the third consecutive victory for the Tigers.
Sophomore right side hitter and preseason All-SWAC selectionÂ
Gillian Jones continued her dominance and was the lone player in the contest with double-digit kills as she finished with a game-high 12 kills for the Tigers, (3-3 overall, 1-2 SWAC) who coasted to a 25-11 victory in the first set.
The Lady Bulldogs made it a challenging second set as Jai Johnson and Lauryn Johnson generated a game total of four kills and five kills respectively, for Jarvis while the score remained tied at 16 apiece before the Tigers went on a 9-3 run capped by kill by Jones to end the set.
Freshman
Jada Taylor added nine digs while teammates
Maurisa Harris and Cadwell finished with a game-high 10 digs apiece for Grambling.
