Box Score GRAMBLING, La.| Three Lady scored in double figures and the Grambling State University women's basketball team crushed Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) opponent Texas Southern 65-46 on Saturday evening in the Fredrick C. Hobdy Assembly Center.
Justice Coleman paced Grambling State (overall 7-7, SWAC 6-4) with 14 points, three rebounds, one assists and two steals.
Alexus Holt and
Candice Parramore added 12 and 10 points, respectively.
Quatera Limbrick led Texas Southern (2-7, 1-6) with 17 points while Ataiya Bridges added a double-double including 11 points, 11 rebounds, three assists and three steals.
Junior center
Jasmine Forte,
who entered the game ranked twenty-second in the NCAA in blocks per game with 2.5, finished with six points, 11 boards and two blocks in just 12 minutes of action for Grambling. She passed her former teammate
Kailyn Gideon for third all-time in blocks in Lady Tigers history with 91.
How it Happened:
Grambling State led 15-11 at the end of the first and extended the advantage slightly, 32-26 going into the break. GSU outscored Texas Southern 17-12 in the third and their defense limited them to just 16 percent shooting in the final period.

> Grambling State was 23-of-62 (37.1 percent) shooting and 13-of-19 (68.4) percent) from the charity stripe
> Texas Southern shot 29.0 percent (18-of-62) from the field and 61.5 percent (8-of-13) from the free-throw line
> GSU registered 46 rebounds, including 20 off the offensive glass
> TXSU pulled down 34 rebounds, with 20 coming on the defensive end

The Lady Tigers will travel to Jackson, Miss. to take on Jackson State on Monday, Feb. 22 at 2 p.m CT. The match will be played at the Lee E. Williams Athletic and Assembly Center and will be the first collegiate game ever featured on NBA TV.
Saturday's originally scheduled remake game that was to be held at the H.A.C. was postponed yet again, this time due to inclement weather in the area and may or may not be rescheduled again before the conference tournament.
