GRAMBLING, La. | Grambling State University women's soccer team was selected to finish second in the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) predicted order of finish, the conference announced on Thursday.
The Lady Tigers received two first-place votes and garnered 138 points as Alabama State, the defending SWAC Tournament champions, earned the top spot with eight first-place votes and 148 points.
Alabama A&M (118 points), Jackson State (114), Prairie View A&M (106), Southern (89), Texas Southern (76), Alcorn State (55), Arkansas-Pine Bluff (50) and Mississippi Valley State (45) rounded out the predicted order of finish.
Grambling State, coming off an 8-2-2 overall record last season, will hold a scrimmage at 5 p.m. on Friday against Louisiana College at the GSU Soccer Complex.
