GRAMBLING, La. | The Grambling State University women's soccer team surrendered a first-half goal and could not recover in falling to UALR, 1-0, on Friday afternoon at the GSU Soccer Complex.

Miranda Urbizu nearly broke the 0-0 tie in the 30th minute, but her shot sailed high.
- Fanney Einarsdottir gave UALR (2-2-1) the 1-0 with a goal in the 31th minute.
- The Lady Tigers (0-5) nearly tied the game four minutes later as
Kamaron Powell's shot was saved by UALR goalkeeper Paige Henry.
- Grambling State's
Laila Loring fired a shot in the 42nd minute, but it was stopped by Henry.
