GRAMBLING, La. | The Grambling State University men's basketball program will host arguably its biggest opponent on Friday night when the University of Colorado visits the Fredrick C. Hobdy Assembly Center as part of the SWAC/Pac-12 Legacy Series.
Tip-off against the Buffs is scheduled for 7 p.m. and the game will be streamed live on ESPN+.
This will not be the first meeting between the two schools. Grambling State and Colorado in 2007, with the Buffs rolling to a 93-47 victory in Boulder.
Anthony Williams led the Tigers, pouring in 18 points and grabbing six rebounds. Meanwhile, Richard Roby led five Buffs players in double figures with 25 points and six boards.
Both teams opened their 2022-2023 season on Monday night.Â
Grambling State (1-0) started slow against UNT Dallas, before putting away the Trailblazers, 82-57, at the Fredrick C. Hobdy Assembly Center. Colorado (1-0) led by nearly 20 points at the break over UC Riverside, before the Buffs rolled to an 82-66 victory.
After Friday night's game, Grambling State will take a week off before traveling to Grand Canyon (Nov. 18). Meanwhile, Colorado visits 11th-Tennessee on Sunday in Knoxville.Â
Tickets for Friday night's SWAC/Pac-12 Legacy Series game are $12 and can be purchased by calling the Grambling State Ticket Office at (318) 274-2629. Children 18 and under are free and must show proof of age.
