MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Georgina Kaindoah and Claire Machisa earned singles wins as the Grambling State University women's tennis team dropped a hard-fought 4-2 decision to Alcorn State on Friday in Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) play.
DOUBLES
- Alcorn State earned the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 2
SINGLES
- Alcorn State took a 3-0 advantage with singles wins at No. 6 and No. 1
- Kaindoah defeated Aizat Zholdakayeva, 6-2, 6-3 to pull the Lady Tigers to within 3-1
-Machisa bested T. Riley-Codrington, 6-2, 6-4, closing the Lady Braves advantage to 3-2
- However, Alcorn State got a 6-2, 2-6, 6-1 win at No. 3 to seal the 4-2 victory

Grambling State (0-11 overall, 0-4 SWAC) returns to action in SWAC play on Saturday at Alabama State in Montgomery, Ala. First serve is set for 2 p.m.
