GRAMBLING, La. | The Grambling State Lady Tigers displayed a remarkable performance, clinching a victory against the Alcorn Lady Braves in a competitive four-set game. The match unfolded showcasing the skills and determination of both teams.

The Lady Tigers asserted their dominance early, seizing the initial five points and leveraging this advantage to secure the first set with a score of 25-14.

In the second set, the Lady Braves demonstrated astute strategic play, pinpointing Grambling's vulnerabilities and preempting actions before serves. This, coupled with a few untimely errors, led to a tightly contested set, ultimately culminating in a 29-27 triumph for the Braves.

Undeterred, the Tigers rallied in the third set, with Kennya Sykes emerging as a standout player, orchestrating scores through well-executed blocks and a keen defensive strategy. The set concluded with a score of 25-18, placing the Tigers back in the lead.

As the fourth and final set commenced, the Tigers faced an initial challenge, allowing the Lady Braves to establish an early lead. However, fueled by determination, Kai Williams found her stride, delivering multiple decisive kills and strategic tips. This empowered the Tigers to clinch the set with a score of 25-22, sealing back-to-back victories on the road.
