BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | Grambling State University women's soccer student-athlete
Samantha Diaz has been named the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Player of the Week, announced by the conference on Tuesday.
Diaz was instrumental to the Tigers' offensive attack on the opening weekend of the season. She scored a goal in GSU's 2-0 victory over Murray State to open the regular season. She added an assist during Grambling State's Sunday contest at Southeast Missouri State.

Fans can catch Diaz and the rest of the Tigers in action on Thursday as Grambling State hosts the University of Louisiana-Lafayette at 6 p.m. at the GSU Soccer Complex.
